Childcare is available during all worship services of the church. The 10:30 AM Worship Service always includes a Children’s Sermon after which children ages 3 through kindergarten may leave for a supervised Kids Time.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School for children and adults begins on Sunday, June 25th and continues through Thursday June 29th.  Our theme this year is Hero Central, Discover God's Strength in You!.  This superhero adventure will include music that will energize your ears, interactive Bible fun, super science, cool crafts, mission work, great games and more.  Weeknight meals will be served at 5:30 PM followed by an assembly for children and classes until about 8:30 PM  For adults, Roger Palmer is leading the Hero Central Adult Bible Study.  Please register online at www.cokesburyvbs.com/steelecreek for children or adults and make dinner reservations.  Or call Lorie Lewis at the church office if you and your family are attending so we can plan for the food and supplies needed.  If you can help with dinner set up and clean up during this week, please contact Cindi Bridges. 

Church Family Retreat


Make plans to join us for the SCPC Church Family Retreat October 28-29, 2017. We look forward to a weekend of relaxation, fellowship and study with our church family. Our study will be based on the book, "Love Does" by Bob Goff. Bob's lessons are humorous, thought provoking and meningful as he challenges us to move beyound the kind of love that stops at thoughts and feelings and move to a love that takes action, just like Jesus did.

We will return to the Blue Ridge Assembly in Black Mountain, NC but, this year, we will all be staying in the Blue Ridge Center so we can eat, sleep, and meet in the same building! A Friday night option is available (October 27) for those who would like to head up early and enjoy the mountains. The retreat will begin Saturday, October 28 at 11 am and run through the afternoon of Sunday, October 29.Blue Ridge Center at the Blue Ridge Assembly in Black Mountain, NC

Rooms are hotel style, consisting of two double beds and a private bath. Meals will be prepared by the facility and our rate includes 4 meals (Saturday lunch/dinner, Sunday breakfast/lunch) during our stay. Below is full pricing information:
•Rate per room/per night: $109
•Meal Rate/facility fee (adult): $56
•Meal Rate/facility fee (child 3-11): $33

Example: Family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children): $287

A deposit of $100 is due July 23rd to reserve a spot for this retreat.

Our Fourth of July Community Worship Service will take place on Sunday, July 2, 10:30 am at Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church, 15000 South Tryon St.  There will be no Sunday School at Steele Creek that day so plan to go directly to Pleasant Hill to worship together with our sister churches
